RCMP thank quick thinking witness for arrest of two armed robbers in Richmond

Police say it’s thanks to a quick thinking witness that two armed robbers are in custody after an early morning robbery in Richmond.
It happened at a convenience store in the 8000 block of Number 3 Road..
According to RCMP, a man allegedly threatened the store clerk with pepper spray while the female kept watch.
Both then fled the scene in a stolen vehicle.
A witness made note of the license plate of the getaway car.
And within minutes, a Vancouver Police Dog Service officer located a suspicious couple walking near the suspect vehicle from the robbery and took the pair into custody.
The two have returned to Richmond to face charges.
Police ask anyone with information about this robbery to contact them.
