Police say last night’s fatal stabbing in Surrey was the result of a fight between two co-workers.
Police say the two men, who worked together, starting fighting in the basement suite of a home on 132nd Street, near Huntley Avenue.
It’s believed the man who lives there, 29-years-old, got his hands on a knife and stabbed the other man, a 39-year-old who died in hospital.
Sergeant Adam MacIntosh with IHIT says officers are trying to figure out why things got heated.
He says, “They came to the residence together, they knew each other. Somehow a fight broke out. Why that is – that’s what we’re trying to find out.”
It’s IHIT’s second murder in Surrey in 48-hours.
The suspect in that case, a shooting in Cloverdale, is still on the loose.
