UPDATE:  Surrey murder victim identified

Homicide investigators have released the name of the man murdered this week at a townhouse in Cloverdale.

He was 32-year-old Gregory Quesnelle, originally from southern Ontario.

He has a lengthy criminal record.

Police have also retrieved the stolen S-U-V sought in the case.

IHIT’s Sergeant Adam MacIntosh says the blue Kia Borrego was found around midnight at 192nd Street and 28th Avenue — on fire.

Suspect 33-year-old Barry McQuarrie is still missing.

MacIntosh says “We’re still obviously looking to speak with him as a suspect in our investigation and like to get him into custody with regard to his outstanding warrant.”

He is considered armed and dangerous.
